That is my Pioneer head unit to constantly flip back and forth between audio sources. Extremely buggy. Stay away from any unit that uses this app as you dont seem to be able to use an iPhone or iPod directly without installing it. AVOID! Worst pioneer product ever. Attempted to use with an avh-x3700bhs and an iPhone 6s+.

Whats going on with the app crashing 90% of the time when trying to launch through my headunit? Since the last update this app has been useless and not making the $500 spent on the headunit with it. Please fix!

I think this app has some potential. I love the ability to display multiple apps on my receiver screen, the primary being Waze, as I love to use the app on my commute and let it find me the route with least congestions. But this app seem to be very clunky, and I have to nurse the connection to keep it running… 1) It doesn’t switch between apps well - it takes a really long time to switch between apps, and many times when I switch back and forth between Waze and Car Media Player (the other app I use to browse through my music / podcast collections), it takes 10+ seconds to do so and Waze often stop displaying (black screen) after a switch, or many of the icons / marker disappeared on Waze, but I think that’s more on Waze than AppRadio itself… 2) The touch interface is not very responsive, and many times it interpreted my touch as a drag and drop, so when I was on the home screen trying to launch an app, it keeps thinking I’m trying to move the icon instead. 3) If you do a quick stop, park your car and grabbed the phone, then plug it back in to drive, it sometimes doesn’t work. It will get stuck at the “now launching app” screen and will require a restart of the app itself. So the connection doesn’t seem to be super reliable. I really wanted this to work, tried to use this in place of CarPlay because of Waze, but after 3 weeks of trying I think I’ll just switch back to CarPlay, which seem to be more reliable and smoother.

Pioneer makes great hardware but when it comes to apps, They need to pull their head out. A $800 dollar radio becomes worthless. I will never buy another Pioneer product EVER!

app is terrible . just got a new head unit and it only works on the Bluetooth for the phone . nothing else now my new unit is useless. really frustrating!!

Won’t even open on my iPod since the last update. Can’t use it at all on my AppRadio. I’ve been using nothing but Pioneer in my vehicles since ’95, that’s about to change.

Please update this app so that we can use Waze again. Waze updated their app so it works now but you cant use the app and listen to music at the same time. Please update this app. Im using this on IOS 8.1 iPhone 6+ on AVH-X4700BS.

Its a cool concept, but the interface is very bland... The music choices are crap... Gotta find a way to make Pandora compatible. Map is ok, it works but very basic... Need more apps!!! Or a super upgrade!!!

Please redesign the app outdated looks the same for years

This application is a piece of garbage, did not work. I dont know why Pionneer promotes this king of useless applications

I payed alot for my radio expecting a lot more from it pioneer u really disappointed me and i only buy pioneer head units i feel like i got ripped of i have the sph-da210

Its got the foundation but its just not up to par. Just make it as good as it could be...

I use the app with AVIC 8750 BT. AppRadio Live does not work with most iOS apps: Waze, Maps, CarMediaPlayer... This useless app makes Apple Carplay on Pionees flagship product is a bad joke.

Thanks a lot Im seeking counseling not because of the stress and aggravation I was put through between this app and the app radio mode, I dont see why Im told to change my input/output setting on my app radio 4 to then only mirroring my phone on to the screen and not able to navigate my app (WAZE). I tried it all Appradio Live , app radio and all of the settings I looked for with no avail, was in my car till midnight. The morning came and tried to activate car play mode and the screen was showing 80% out of center (I hope that is. Understood well) it took me much MUCH longer to get to where I needed to be and was only able to fix it by resetting/Rebooting my radio and deleting Appradio app and app radio live and then resetting my phone. But by that time my phone had "fallen out the window" thanks for nothing you only Cost me money Im boycotting Appradio mode.

Wow. How does this get past the minimum Apple Store requirements? What a complete piece of crap this app is. In my day, the "Pioneer" brand meant something......

Absolutely horrible! Too confusing and difficult to use. Only bought this Pioneer unit SPH-DA120 for Apple CarPlay. The CarPlay works wonderfully and is one of the best thing I ever did to my car, but this particular AppRadio app is a whole other story! 2 THUMBS DOWN FOR THIS APP! Dont bother unless you feel like being frustrated

Right now this app is more or less pointless besides running App Radio Live (which frankly doesnt run that well at least on my AVH-X7700BT). It would be nice if more navigation apps such as Waze worked so it could do reliable turn by turn navigation and talk to you. It would also be better if more of the radio models worked with Apple Car Play.

Its not working at all after the update! Please fix. Now you have to launch individual apps from your phone because the app radio screen freezes. Update*. You have to uninstall it and reinstall the new version for it to work again. Please update this bad app, at least open the control feature that lets you control native apps on iPhone like waze does so we are not limited by your approved apps... Which is dismal and Ill end up buying a new radio at the rate your new compatible apps are released!!!

This app hasnt worked for a while. Whenever I try to run it, my AppRadio screen just turns off, to a blank screen. So now I essentially have a Bluetooth radio and nothing more. Bravo Pioneer, I will never buy another product of yours again.

You have to have a sense of humor with Pioneer and App Radio or else you will rip your pioneer deck out and the hundreds of dollars worth of adapters and chuck it out the window. Its ridiculous.
